Robert Avellanet, also known as RoBA, is a singer/songwriter, nephew of well known puertorican bolero and ballad singer Chucho Avellanet. Inspired by his uncle's success across Latin America, Robert wanted to be a singer since childhood. Avellanet himself, became a teen idol in Puerto Rico and across Latin America after being hired in 1988, alongside Ricky Martin, as a member of the international pop sensation MENUDO. Throughout his career Robert has recorded 8 albums and has performed with legends such as Tito Puente and Celia Cruz.
In 2002 Robert moved to Miami, Florida to explore new horizons and in 2009 he released as, RoBA, the pop rock album "Jet Privado". With hits like "Laberinto" and "Miserable" Robert gained more fans from latin america and the world. Throughout his years in Miami, Avellanet became active in the acting world as well, landing roles in several independent films, theatre plays and latino soap operas.
His true passion, movitivaton and talent recently brought him to live in Hollywood, California, where he adventures a new journey of artistic challenges as an artist.
Robert Avellanet who's a member of the songwriters association BMI, recently released his first full lenth english album, named Heart & Soul, under the nest of the independent label This Rocks Entertainment. "The idea is to connect even more the latin and american comunities through music. "In end we're all the same, we live, dream and share the same country". We are America", Says Robert.
Heart & Soul was written and produced by Robert Avellanet and Fernando Perdomo and has a powerful message with uplifiting and positive melodies such as "Love Is A Journey", "When I Have You" and "Shine Your Light". The album mixes genders such as pop, rock, soul, r&b, funk and jazz.
