Nice sense of darkness about the first track, Assasinen. The Eastern lilt, the clouds of hashish, the formidable sense of being part of a potentially deadly group of experts in their field of work. Nice progression and development, and sense of drama. And a proper ending, the guitar work reminded me of early Siouxsie and the Banshees. Again that guitar work, similar effect, takes me back several years to a track called Voices that Siouxsie did. There is a good sense of effort put into this sound. It is dynamic and nicely constructed. The second track being distinct for its content, though similar in style, that is generally a good sign, in my experience. First Recordings, very nice.
