About this album

  • Published: Aug 23, 2012

Earlier this year, local singer/songwriter Jesse Polk-Lewis released his debut album, Still Time, on CD.

Jesse's sound mixes traditional acoustic folk with many modern pop and alternative elements. Each song is a unique creation.

Highlights include the catchy Prison of the Mind, the haunting Worthwhile and amazing acoustic versions of Prince's When Doves Cry and Teenage Head's Something on My Mind.

There's Still Time to listen to this fabulous album of catchy, funky and intelligent songs. Jesse's lyrics are thought provoking and sufficiently abstract that one can still live one's own personal journey within each song. The music is refreshing and uplifting. I really appreciated Jamendo highlighting this album that could so easily have stayed hidden behind pages of new releases. I particularly like My Own Two Eyes, which you cannot help but move some part of your body to! Very much a Worthwhile listen.

Ottimo disco di folk moderno, registrato molto bene, ottimo suono acustico, mi piace particolarmente il modo di suonare la chitarra, il lavoro con le voci e la composizione melodica; complimenti.
